Emma Grace Jewellery – wearable art

4 Aug

Emma Grace has developed her childhood amusement of building tiny houses for frogs into a grown-up passion for intricate and detailed jewellery design.

I feel like my jewellery ‘bridges the gap’ between art and fashion. It has an appeal to a fast, fashionable audience, but it’s also got that extra something if you choose to look a little deeper into it.

I never really had that traditional background of always dressing up in my mother’s jewellery. It was always more about, you know, I grew up in the country and I used to make things out of whatever was around – little stick houses for frogs and little ponds for tadpoles and stuff. I had this sort of obsession with the miniature that ‘carries over’ into jewellery. I can bring part of my childhood into it. I can still sort of create with that childlike energy.
